The Ideology Behind Prayer
Prayer affects things, changes people (Act 2.1), and is beneficial. The realities of prayer have been proven across generations that had lived on earth. For instance the weak Peter who lacked courage to face destiny at a junction of his life was able to abandon that garment of impossibility behind. Hence; embraced a new life full of courage and became tenacious in advancing the reason for his existence. Men given to prayers are individuals who had tapped into divine resources needed for life adventure. Foremost, given an expression to what prayer is, I would like to say prayer is primarily a system of communication, an access point where earthly dwellers have been provided the opportunity to interface with the invincible world, the heavenly dwellers.
Jesus’ teaching brought us into the awareness of our source in Matthew 6; 6- but when thou prays enter into thy closest, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which sees in secret shall reward thee openly 9- after this manner therefore pray: Our father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. For us as believers in Christ Jesus, we have been saddled with that responsibility to interference with this realm for us to understand God (our father), heavenly companies, as well comprehending the dynamics of birthing the kingdom realities on earth.
Every communicator gets to benefit from conversations when such understands and embraces the feedback mechanism. Believers climb mountains & hill day and night in an attempt to seek God i.e., make their request known unto God (Philippians 4:6; be careful for nothing; but by prayers and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God), yet obtained little. Whatever the expectation could be Jesus has given us a profitable view as regards effective communication with God.
The conversation between Jesus and the woman at the well explains the fact that believers can always enter the realm of possibilities in the spirit when they understand the dynamics of communicating in the spirit without distraction (John 4: 19- 24; emphasis (verse 23-24) but the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship Him. God is a spirit; and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth ), my emphasis not about engaging the language of the spirit (tongues) but a place of spirit positioning, as many even pray in the spirit but lacks it dividends.
The Dynamics of Asking And Receiving
Understanding our tripartite nature is really a cure to many issues we encounter in prayer. A man is a spirit, having a soul and lives in a body (1 THESSALONIANS 5:23 says; and the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole SPIRIT and SOUL and BODY be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ). This brings us into the awareness of the realities or possibilities every human being participates and functions from daily (physical, mental, and spiritual phases) whether in their conscious or unconscious state.
Unfortunately, larger percentage of human being on earth pay closer attention to the physical zone/world and all activities that takes place there. Several others have also improved to certain extent when it comes to mental realm but little percentage hasn’t understood the dynamics of living out the spirit life even as believers. I just believe its wisdom for every being on earth to understudy this tripartite nature and the activities that revolves it.
My emphasis; profitability in the prayers goes beyond the realm of the physical and mental but that of the spirit. We have tried to communicate with God, but most times our mouth alone does the communication and not transcending from our spirit and God (a spirit) through spirit realm. It takes a spirit to receive from a spirit; hence the needs to take spiritual position while praying, follow me as I explain a mystery.
The Route
A major tool the enemy uses in watering down or combating our prayer is distraction either physical or mental; as such making prayer burdensome and unprofitable. People have believed prayer isn’t profitable because they haven’t seen its dividend in their life. The issue isn’t about prayer “the WHAT of prayer”, but “the HOW of prayer”. The incomprehension of the dynamics of prayer is what has caused many of believers to lose out in the adventure of spiritual communication (prayer).
I humorously say problem made me a man of prayer. I got exposed to the act and dynamics of prayers early days of my under-gee (Bachelor’s degree education) because of challenges from home; having got fired up through reading BELIEVERS AUTHORITY a book written by Kenneth E. Hagin Sr. In my adventure in the school of prayer, I had an encounter a particular day by the privilege of God’s mercy and grace. In that vision I saw that when a man or woman stationed himself or herself to pray on earth i.e., communicate to God. There was a sight I cut, which reveals prayer starting up as a smoke as the believer prays; it begins to mount up to the sky (heaven). I saw it going up like a rope, taking the shape of a pillar but quite slim. It pass through the first heaven (the sky above or what we call the cloud), then to the second heaven (the domain of spirits, celestial bodies). For clarity sake; I prefer to establish the reality of the 3 heavens from the word of God. The word heavens in Genesis 2:1 speaks of heaven as more than one because it was written in a plural form. Meanwhile; the Greek word HEAVENS there is shaw-meh (given expression to the sky and the higher ether where celestial bodies revolve), similarly; one of the generals that lived on earth known as Solomon, acknowledged the reality of the heaven and the heaven of HEAVENS (1 king 8: 27) when making his worship to God in prayers, having finished building a sanctuary for God on earth.
Ezra 9:6 says o my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to thee, my God: for our iniquities are increased over our head, and our trespass is grown up unto the HEAVENS, what took it up (Selah).
Job 15: 15: behold, he puts no trust in his saints; yea, the HEAVENS are not clean in his sight, What makes the heavens not clean? (Selah).
Psalm 33:6: by the word of the Lord were the HEAVENS made, and the host of them by the breath of his mouth (Selah). Add Zechariah 6:1-6. (Matthew 24: 29- referenced the shaken of the powers of the heavens). Apostle Peter also brought us also into the revelation of a new Heavens and earth to come (2 Peter 3:13)
Matthew 3:16: and Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the HEAVENS were opened unto him (Selah), and he saw the spirit of God descending like a dove and lightning upon him.
Lastly, Apostle Paul also brought us into the consciousness of the existence of the third heaven, hence the existence of the first and second (2 Corinthians 12: 2).
Furthering my encounter, then I saw a movement up the heavenlies (that I later known as the second heaven) as the smoke was rising higher. The demons or forces in that realm were making attempt to stop the prayer, so they began engaging distraction methods. I discover they issues weariness, engage friend visit at that time, stirring up people to call at that time etc, all to stop the individuals from ascending. Once the prayer warrior buys into that agenda, the smoke shatters and he will need to start up again, but if he persist praying without losing focus the smoke gets ticker and eventually turns to fire, creating an opening and penetrating through the second heaven to the third, hence; the demons evacuate that region because they cannot withstand that fire. Once that is done, there exist a free flow; as such the individual tends to feel the smooth communication. This I saw has aided my comprehension of these scriptures; Leviticus 6:12-13, Leviticus 7: 35, and Leviticus 16: 12.
Leviticus 6:12-13: and the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it, it shall not be put out: and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lays the burnt offering in order upon it; and he shall burn thereon the fat of the peace offerings. (13- The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out (Selah).
It is always an earthly altar connected to heavenly altar (Revelation 8:4). The song writer Dunsin Oyekan sang out, first it was fragrance then it turn to fire, my worship is my weapon and this is how I win my battle. Focus is a major key for effective and efficient prayer.
